Nächsten Monat wird es leider einen Serverwechsel geben und die Boolk.de muss migrieren. Um in Zukunft alles in einer Hand zu haben, habe ich mich entschieden Boolk.de, meine Larp-Foto-Seite, mit meiner Forschungsseite zusammen zu legen. In January, at the German larp conference MittelPunkt, I attended Josephine Verneuil’s presentation on French larp. Almost half a year later, I was sitting in Helsinki, still hungry. I want you for ‘Larpforschung’
Auf der Role-Play Convention (RPC) führte Larp.tv ein Interview mit mir durch. Larp.tv ist ein deutscher online Sender, der regelmäßig rund um Phantastik berichtet. Ich erzähle über meine Arbeit an der Universität Maastricht, meinen Erfahrungen in Finland und rufe zur Zusammenarbeit der deutschen Larpforscher auf.

Due my preparations for tomorrow’s Role-Play Convention in Köln (Germany), a short informative post. What does this have to do with Solmukohta? Larp & Lizzie! This is not a new Dungeons & Dragons clone, but the reason why I post this here. I met Lizzie Stark shortly in Helsinki and was pretty much impressed by her. It does not matter how much effort you put into your hobby. As long as you are not good, you cannot except that someone will be interested enough to understand your doing. It is a hobby. Stereotypes are used when people simply do not care about you. As there are few positive stereotypes and we role-players do not share any one of them, the only way out is to become so good that you are not ignored anymore. In this blog entry I will not ask how to become good, as this is not a larp related topic, but what larpers can do to improve their reputation (if they need or want that). Continue Reading »

I have something to add to Lizzie’s list of Knutedepression:
I will do a workshop at the Role-Play Convention, Köln (GER).
Topic is an introduction into nordic role-play theory. YES! You read right. Time to collect my notes again (which have no place in my dissertation, joke@tuomas). Further details: Saturday, 18-19, Room 3.
